It was appropriate as it portrayed the experiences of people trying to be rich by entering the crime world conflicting with their inner conscience. The film shows how Charlie was unable to free himself from the mafia world. He was compassionate but was not ready to make any commitments of any form either (Mean Streets Marti n Scorsese, 1973).
